Air Assist

The air assist does the heavy lifting so you can enjoy your weaving more. Air Assist lifts multiple shafts easily through the use of air pressure. Installation is simple and the design is friendly to your loom. Pre-assembled parts are ready to go with easy to follow instructions . Only 2 screws are required to fasten a cylinder mounting bar to the loom frame.  No prior experience of knowledge of compressed air technology is necessary. For a complete description go to "What’s New"

.

Beater Weight

A detachable steel bar that mounts under the lower reed frame with metal fasteners for easy removal. It adds extra weight to the beater (1/2 pound per inch), enabling you to beat in the firmest weft with one beat. $1.50 per inch. Installation $25

Don't Walk Pads

Traction pads are for the feet of your loom frame. If your loom is on a tile or hardwood floor, these pads will keep it from moving forward when you are beating. $7.50 per set.

Flex Clip

Displays your draft or notes where you can see them, warping or weaving (see clip below with Flex Lamp). Covered flexible shaft 6 1/2" with spring clips at both ends.  $20

Flex Lamp

The full spectrum fluorescent bulb uses only 13 watts of power, yet casts a wide area of light. It stays cool, has a 24" reach and fits perfectly into our lamp holder mounted to the castle. It also comes with a standard metal clamp for use in other applications. Made in Finland. $55.

Flex Lamp Holder

This holder attaches to the castle with screws. It provides a coordinated, yet secure device to support a flexible lamp for lighting warping and weaving. $22

Fire Fly Shuttle

The Fire Fly shuttle is designed to give more automation and speed for production weavers who weave with longer yardage. One or two box versions are available with double box elevator controls mounted on the beater handgrip. Boxes feature an open design to control shuttle noise and bracing the ensure long work life. With the flick of a wrist, end feed shuttles are accurately propelled with cupped pickers. The pull cord is mounted low on the beater to reduce shoulder stress. To retrofit a Fireside Loom with the Fire Fly shuttle, send the beater to Fireside for installation and adjustment. Once scheduled, installation takes approximately a week. This design is also adaptable to other looms - contact us at michelle@firesidelooms.com to inquire about compatibility. Single box $1500, Double box $2100.

Harness Weight

An extra 1 pound bar can be attached to your harness via a magnetic strip. Use it on the occasional harness that tends to float because of the particular tie-up, and it will compensate for the additional tension. $12.00 with two magnetic strips.

Heddles

These in turn mount to the surface of your loom frame, yet elevate the loom only 1/2". Made of matte black plastic with 100 pound capacity each. $98 set of 4.  Specify wood preference when ordering.

Raddles

Raddles are made of hardwood with wooden pegs for 2" spacing, brass pins for 1" spacing. 2 inch spacing - $1.90 per inch; 1 inch spacing $2.25 per inch. Optional top $27.50

Reeds

Stainless steel reeds are available in 3 - 20 dents per inch. Outside height, 5" for jack looms. 5 1/2" for traditional tapestry looms. $2.20 per inch.

Rotary Temple

The rotary temple helps you achieve even selvedges. Unlike a manual stick temple that requires you to stop weaving, a rotary temple allows the fabric to move through it as you advance your cloth. Simple to operate, the components ride on structural track that spans the width of your loom (12" - 72"). A clear tensioner guides the fabric over the temple rings and can be adjusted for thickness. Ring pins are easy on fabric and weavers – they care located beneath the fabric surface to minimize protrusion and prevent injury. Each ring has 3 lines of 2mm pins for positive traction. The standard version has 2 rings, each 1/4" wide. A 3-ring version is available when extra control is needed. Bias adjustments can be made to keep the cloth tracking perfectly. 3mm pins are available for rug weaving.
Looms 24" - 36" $365, Looms 37" - 54" $370, Looms 55" - 72" $375. Inquire for larger temples. Add $45 for an additional pair of rings (specify 1mm - fine fabrics or 2mm - standard or 3mm -heavy).  Please indicate the outside width and type of loom in your order.

Comes with two trays. Fits most looms, but please specify the type of loom when ordering. $160

Treadle Lock
