Selling
a Fireside Loom on Consignment
We will be happy to sell your loom on consignment. We worked out a Consignment Agreement to clarify the responsibilities of both parties in the process and to describe the options we are offering. It is important to have everything as clear as possible from the beginning. Feel free to add notes for clarity. |

Shipping
Used Looms to Us
If you decide to consign your loom with us, we will send you instructions to disassemble your loom so it can be packed into UPS shippable size boxes that you can manage yourself. UPS will pick them up at your house. We priced out the alternative cost of having a loom size carton made and shipped to you (it's over UPS limits) and it seemed excessive. Consignment
Loom Pricing
When the loom arrives here, we will call you to discuss its condition and resale value. Newer looms (under 5 years old) generally sell for 66% - 75% of new if they are in good condition. Older looms have inflation on their side. You can expect to net at least what you paid for it, perhaps more if it is a popular model and in good condition. Older looms do not have all the design and construction improvements of the newer looms, so can not be compared directly to the price of current models. A receipt will be sent with the agreed upon asking price and the lowest acceptable offer you'll take. You should also indicate if you are willing to accept any kind of payment plan or terms from the buyer. Promotion
of Consigned Looms
Used Firesides are in demand and people turn to us to find them. We joined an Internet weaving list and will also list used looms on our Web site. With additional magazine ads that mention we are handling used looms, I think we should receive a number of inquiries. Used
Loom Reconditioning
If you decide to have us recondition your loom with a 2-year guarantee (the same as our new looms), it will be very attractive and should sell fairly quickly. Please contact us if you
